Uluslararası Platformda Önemli Adım: İstanbul Ticaret Üniversitesi Belçika Anvers’te
İstanbul Ticaret Üniversitesi, Belçika’da Düzenlenen “International Staff Week 2026” Etkinliğine Katıldı
İstanbul Ticaret Üniversitesi, 4–8 Mayıs 2026 tarihleri arasında Belçika’nın Anvers şehrinde bulunan Erasmus partneri Karel de Grote Uygulamalı Bilimler ve Sanatlar Üniversitesi ev sahipliğinde düzenlenen “Teaching Beyond Borders: Mastering Blended and Virtual Learning” etkinliğine katılarak yükseköğretimin dijital geleceğinde aktif rol üstlendi. Üniversitemizi temsilen Değişim Programları Koordinatörü Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Elif Nuray Yıldırım ile Uzman Betül Doğdu’nun yer aldığı programda, karma öğrenme modelleri ve uluslararası sanal iş birlikleri çok boyutlu olarak ele alındı.
STRATEJİK AÇILIŞ VE DİJİTAL DÖNÜŞÜM VİZYONU
Programın açılışı, Fakülte Direktörü ve Uluslararasılaşma Sorumlusu Tom Fleerackers’ın konuşmalarıyla gerçekleştirildi. Açılış oturumunda söz alan konuşmacı Prof. Jo Tondeur, öğretim tasarımı ve eğitsel inovasyonda bilgi ve iletişim teknolojileri entegrasyonunun yükseköğretim kurumlarının dönüşümündeki kritik rolüne ilişkin kapsamlı bir değerlendirme sundu.
ULUSLARARASI İŞ BİRLİĞİNDE YENİ SOLUK: BIP VE COIL
Etkinliğin ikinci gününde düzenlenen çalıştaylarda, öğrenci deneyimini merkeze alan ve hızlı bir tasarım süreci sunan ABC Tasarım Yöntemi (Arena Blended Connected) uygulamalı olarak incelendi. Uzmanlar Eva Goossens, Jan de Jong ve Vinciane Costa rehberliğinde yürütülen oturumlarda, ders içeriklerinin “öğrenci ne yapar?” sorusu üzerinden nasıl yapılandırılacağı üzerinde duruldu. Özellikle karma öğrenme ortamlarında Öz-Düzenlemeli Öğrenme (SRL) becerilerinin müfredata entegrasyonu ve öğrencilerin kendi öğrenme süreçlerini yönetme yetkinliklerinin nasıl destekleneceği tartışıldı.
Program kapsamında gerçekleştirilen interaktif atölyelerde, Karma Yoğun Programlar (BIP) ve Kültürlerarası Çevrimiçi Öğrenme (COIL) projelerinin “evde uluslararasılaşma” stratejisindeki kritik rolü analiz edildi. Katılımcılar, sanal hareketliliğin fiziksel hareketlilikle nasıl harmanlanarak daha kapsayıcı ve erişilebilir bir uluslararası deneyim sunabileceğine dair iyi uygulama örneklerini paylaşırken, bu süreçte kurumlar arası yeni akademik ortaklıkların temelleri atıldı. Edinilen bilgi ve deneyimler doğrultusunda, BIP ve COIL süreçlerinin üniversitemizde de uygulanmasına yönelik önemli bir altyapı oluşturulmuş; böylece hem öğrencilerimiz hem de akademisyenlerimiz için yeni uluslararası iş birliği ve değişim programı fırsatlarının önü açılmıştır.
KURUMSAL ÇIKTILAR
Etkinliğin devamında düzenlenen oturumlarda Dr. Hiltrud Awad ve Ana Voichita Tebeanu, uluslararası karma projelerde psikolojik güvenlik ve öğrenci katılımının artırılmasına yönelik saha deneyimlerini değerlendirdi. Eğitimde yapay zeka araçlarının kullanımı ve bu araçların değerlendirme süreçlerine etik entegrasyonu üzerine sunumlar gerçekleştirildi. Son gün düzenlenen panelde ise Ruxandra Ciulu ve Nele De Witte, müfredatın uluslararasılaşması ve bu süreçlerin finansman modelleri üzerine kurumsal bir vizyon sundu.
İstanbul Ticaret Üniversitesi’nin bu uluslararası platformdaki temsili, üniversitemizin dijitalleşme ve “evde uluslararasılaşma” hedefleri doğrultusunda mevcut stratejik ortaklıklarını güçlendirirken; Belçika, Hollanda, Almanya, Romanya ve Estonya gibi farklı ülkelerden paydaşlarla Avrupa yükseköğretim alanında yeni ve sürdürülebilir iş birliği fırsatlarının geliştirilmesine önemli katkılar sağladı.

A Significant Step on the International Stage: Istanbul Ticaret University in Antwerp, Belgium
Istanbul Ticaret University Participated in the “International Staff Week 2026” Event Held in Belgium
Istanbul Ticaret University took an active role in the digital future of higher education by participating in the “Teaching Beyond Borders: Mastering Blended and Virtual Learning” event, hosted by its Erasmus partner, Karel de Grote University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Antwerp, Belgium, from May 4–8, 2026. Representing our university, Dr. Elif Nuray Yıldırım, Coordinator of Exchange Programs, and Specialist Betül Doğdu participated in the program, where blended learning models and international virtual collaborations were discussed in depth.
STRATEGIC OPENING AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION VISION
The program opened with remarks by Faculty Director and Internationalization Officer Tom Fleerackers. During the opening session, speaker Prof. Jo Tondeur presented a comprehensive assessment of the critical role of integrating information and communication technologies into instructional design and educational innovation in the transformation of higher education institutions.
A NEW BREATH OF FRESH AIR IN INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION: BIP AND COIL
During the workshops held on the second day of the event, the ABC Design Method (Arena Blended Connected)—which centers on the student experience and offers a rapid design process—was examined through hands-on activities. In sessions led by experts Eva Goossens, Jan de Jong, and Vinciane Costa, the focus was on how course content should be structured around the question “What does the student do?” Particular attention was given to the integration of Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) skills into the curriculum within blended learning environments and how to support students’ ability to manage their own learning processes.
In the interactive workshops held as part of the program, the critical role of Blended Intensive Programs (BIP) and Cross-Cultural Online Learning (COIL) projects in the “internationalization at home” strategy was analyzed. While participants shared best practices on how virtual mobility can be blended with physical mobility to offer a more inclusive and accessible international experience, the foundations for new inter-institutional academic partnerships were laid during this process. Based on the knowledge and experiences gained, a significant infrastructure has been established to implement BIP and COIL processes at our university; thereby opening the door to new international collaboration and exchange program opportunities for both our students and faculty members.
ORGANIZATIONAL OUTCOMES
In the sessions held later in the event, Dr. Hiltrud Awad and Ana Voichita Tebeanu discussed their field experiences regarding the enhancement of psychological safety and student engagement in international collaborative projects. Presentations were given on the use of artificial intelligence tools in education and the ethical integration of these tools into assessment processes. In the panel held on the final day, Ruxandra Ciulu and Nele De Witte presented an institutional vision on the internationalization of the curriculum and the funding models for these processes.
Istanbul Ticaret University’s representation at this international platform not only strengthened its existing strategic partnerships in line with the university’s goals of digitalization and “internationalization at home,” but also made significant contributions to the development of new and sustainable collaboration opportunities in the European higher education sector with stakeholders from various countries, including Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Romania, and Estonia.
