Following the announcement of the preliminary evaluation results for the Erasmus+ Study Mobility programme, the appeals submitted to us have been carefully reviewed by the Erasmus Selection and Evaluation Committee.
As a result of the investigations conducted during the appeals process, it was determined that a technical glitch had occurred on the “Turna Portal”, an external system not belonging to our university, through which applications were received. It was understood that this situation prevented some students from uploading their foreign language certificates to the system. To ensure that students do not suffer any loss of rights, the Erasmus Selection and Evaluation Committee has re-evaluated the matter; it has been decided that the exam scores of students who participated in the Erasmus Language Exam organised by our university shall be deemed valid, even if they were unable to upload their documents due to the system failure.
In the final assessment carried out by the Erasmus Selection and Evaluation Committee, priority was given to the principle that at least one student from each department should benefit from the grant. Accordingly, the 29-person grant quota, determined by taking into account the volume of applications, was distributed equally among all faculties at undergraduate level, and the students with the highest scores from each faculty were included in the assessment.

Distinction Between Grant-Funded and Non-Grant-Funded Applicants
In the lists, applicant students are classified as “Grant-Receiving Applicants” and “Non-Grant-Receiving Applicants”. This distinction has the following meanings:
Grant-Receiving Applicant: These are students who are expected to benefit from the programme with financial support, within the quota determined by the Erasmus Selection and Evaluation Committee, in accordance with the budget allocated to our university by the Turkish National Agency.
Non-Grant Candidate: These are candidates who appear on the results list based on their score ranking but, due to budget constraints, will not be able to receive grant support; they wish to participate in the programme at their own expense (without a grant).
The allocation of grants has been planned to ensure that at least one student from each department from which applications were received is supported. In accordance with the budget allocated to our university by the Turkish National Agency, a total of 29 students have been assessed as grant-eligible candidates. The remaining quotas have been distributed in accordance with the decision of the Erasmus Selection and Evaluation Committee, with an additional grant-eligible quota allocated to each faculty at undergraduate level, based on the highest-scoring students within the relevant faculty.
Important Reminder: ‘Candidate’ Status
Inclusion in the published lists does not constitute a firm commitment that candidates will be placed at their preferred institutions. During this process, students hold ‘candidate’ status; the final placement is subject to the official approval of the host institution (university or organisation) and the admission process conducted by our Coordination Office.
Process Management and Responsibilities
The critical stages that our candidates must pay attention to are as follows:
1-Nomination: The Erasmus Office has initiated the nomination process for students planning to participate in mobility during the autumn term. Students whose nominations have been approved will receive an information email from their home institution.
2-Communication Management: Managing email correspondence with the host institution and keeping track of important dates, such as application deadlines, is entirely the candidate’s responsibility.
3-Website Monitoring: The Erasmus/International Office websites of the chosen institution should be checked regularly for application documents and procedures.
4-Orientation Meeting: An orientation meeting will be held to provide detailed information on how the process works. Details regarding the date and time of the meeting will be announced on our website as soon as possible and made available to those concerned. As stated in the Erasmus Study Mobility Announcement, should students fail to attend the orientation meetings and training sessions organised by our Coordination Office regarding the mobility process without a valid reason, a deduction of 5 points will be applied to their total score in their next Erasmus+ mobility application.
5-As detailed below, all prospective students are required to follow the mobility declaration and waiver procedures.
Declaration and Waiver Process
Students who have been selected to participate in the programme without a grant must complete the Erasmus Study Mobility Non-Grant Participation Confirmation Form using their university email addresses by Monday 11 May.

Students nominated for the programme with a grant who wish to withdraw from the programme by Monday 11 May must complete the withdrawal form available on our website and submit it to erasmus@ticaret.edu.tr.
